Can I accept HSA and FSA payments?
Yes, as long as your Stripe account is set up properly with an applicable Merchant Category Code (MCC).
Stripe classifies businesses based on Industry, for example:
- Autos
- Building Services
- Digital Products
- Education
- Entertainment And Recreation
- Financial Services
- Food And Drink
- Medical Services
- Membership Organizations
- Personal Services
- and more...
When setting up your Stripe account, you're asked to select the Industry and Category of your business. Select Medical Services, then an applicable Category (ie. Telemedicine/Telehealth).
Per Stripe: Merchant Code (Medical Services) will be properly configured to accept HSA/FSA cards.
If Stripe requires more information to qualify your business, they may contact you by email or via message notifications on your
Stripe dashboard.
If you experience any issues with accepting HSA or FSA payments, please contact
